Over 70 years in business
Together, we can look back on a long corporate history. The foundation stone of today’s group was laid in 1946 when PVG was established. Having discovered his enthusiasm for and understanding of newspaper and magazine distribution as a child, Thomas Kirschner went on to work for the Frankfurt-based company (today’s PVG Presse-Vertriebs-Gesellschaft) during his school years and studies.
When a large number of shares in the company came up for sale in 1997, Thomas Kirschner become a shareholder before acquiring a majority interest in 1999.
As part of its strategic alignment, the Frankfurt-based press wholesaler expanded by making acquisitions in Germany, Switzerland and Luxembourg, and diversified into additional business areas.
